Requirements

BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
8+ years of production-level experience building highly scalable systems
4+ years of experience as a technical decision-maker
4+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages
Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines
Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies (Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go)
Preferred experience as an engineer architecting, developing, and deploying full-stack web applications
Preferred experience building scalable and reliable backend systems
Preferred experience working with AWS technologies, Kafka etc
Preferred experience with CSS/HTML/Javascript and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, VueJs/Ember)
Preferred experience building ‘platforms’ as an evolution of bespoke softwares
Expertise in at least 1 server-side web technology (Nodejs, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++,Go). Python preferred
Experience with any web framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask etc)
Experience with API design and development
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data

Responsibilities

Identify and develop scalable and performant solutions
Work across disciplines to shape product strategy and execution
Develop the foundations of code architecture and quality
Mentor and coach engineers
Set and uphold engineering process standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
Lead and mentor junior engineers
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and feature planning sessions
