Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leading complex product initiatives and a strong track record of driving 0-to-1 product development in high-growth environments. Experience shaping technical direction, making strategic tradeoffs, and influencing team culture with a focus on quality, velocity, and innovation is essential. Deep fluency with modern web technologies such as React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Python is required, along with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. A product-minded, user-obsessed approach with a bias toward ownership and fast execution is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will define the technical strategy for new products and co-drive product strategy with cross-functional partners. They will lead engineering efforts across the entire stack, from architecture to implementation and delivery, and serve as a technical thought partner to product and design teams. Responsibilities include upholding high standards for engineering quality, reliability, and operational excellence, shaping team culture around speed and experimentation, and guiding the team through ambiguity and rapid iteration. Additionally, they will mentor engineers through design reviews and pairing, and act as a steward for the team's long-term technical health and direction.
