Requirements

Experience in security engineering, particularly as the first hire defining security foundations for a platform
Ability to develop comprehensive security roadmaps addressing cloud security, application security, and incident response
Proficiency in implementing technical controls using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Python
Capability to collaborate across Engineering and Product teams to embed security into the development lifecycle
Experience leading compliance roadmaps (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Comfortable in a hybrid work environment as part of an early-stage startup team

Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive security roadmap addressing current and future threats, including cloud security, application security, and incident response
Directly implement half of the security roadmap using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Python
Delegate and coordinate the other half of the roadmap with other engineering teams
Drive execution of the engineering roadmap by personally delivering key features and infrastructure improvements
Collaborate across Engineering and Product to embed security into the development lifecycle
Enable rapid innovation without compromising safety
Lead the execution of the compliance roadmap (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Implement technical controls to safeguard the multi-cloud AI platform, protect customer data, and ensure trustworthiness
