Candidates should have over 10 years of firmware development experience with a strong foundation in embedded systems. Extensive hands-on experience in AOSP development for Android versions 6, 10, and 13 is required, along with a deep understanding of the Android Framework, system services, HAL, and system boot processes. Strong expertise in C/C++ and Java for Android system-level development is necessary, as well as proficiency in Python, Bash, and Makefiles for automation. Experience with different chipset platforms and working with ODMs, chipset vendors, and sensor manufacturers is also essential. Strong debugging skills using various low-level tools are required, and the ability to architect, develop, and deliver AOSP-based features is crucial.
The Staff Firmware Engineer will architect, develop, and customize the AOSP platform for multiple Android versions across embedded systems. They will modify, optimize, and maintain Android system components, and work on integrating and optimizing drivers for various hardware components. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.
