A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project or program management is required, including at least 5 years specifically within Healthcare IT environments. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, complex IT projects in diverse healthcare settings is essential. Proficiency with enterprise-level Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as ServiceNow, Clarity, Planview, or Smartsheets is necessary, along with familiarity with clinical applications and strong experience with Cerner. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and leadership abilities are expected, as is a proactive, self-starter mindset capable of managing multiple concurrent projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
The Senior Project Manager will lead and oversee transformative IT projects within the healthcare sector, focusing on initiatives that improve patient care and operational efficiency. This role involves comprehensive project management, including planning, risk and issue management, financial oversight, change management, test management, and executive status reporting. The manager will articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, integrate with existing teams, foster collaborative environments with business leaders, clinical stakeholders, and IT teams, and ensure strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables. They will manage multiple concurrent projects within a hybrid project management framework, applying Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile methodologies as appropriate.
