Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
5-8 years of relevant work experience as a Snowflake Developer
In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and industry best practices
Proficient in SQL for data manipulation, advanced querying, and performance tuning
Skilled in designing and implementing data models, including star and snowflake schemas, within Snowflake
Experienced in ETL/ELT processes and integration tools used with Snowflake
Hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines using tools such as Informatica
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly as they relate to Snowflake's cloud-native platform
Capable of diagnosing and resolving performance issues in Snowflake environments and SQL queries
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder engagement
Familiar with version control systems like Git for managing code and development workflows
Well-versed in data security standards and best practices

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust data models, schemas, and data warehousing solutions using the Snowflake platform
Manage end-to-end data migration processes, including data extraction from various sources, transformation, and loading into Snowflake (ETL/ELT)
Leverage Snowflake-specific features such as semi-structured data handling, secure data sharing, and advanced security capabilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data movement into and within Snowflake
Optimize Snowflake configurations and fine-tune SQL queries to enhance performance and scalability
Enforce data quality controls and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive data
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and data quality concerns
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored data solutions
Create and maintain clear technical documentation covering data models, ETL processes, and overall architecture
