Candidates must possess 7+ years of experience working with Machine Learning (ML) in production, including at least 1-2 years of experience with Large Language Models (LLM). They should have experience writing clean Python code with reproducible results and a strong understanding of ML/LLM data structures, modeling, software architecture, libraries, and frameworks. Applicants should combine applied ML/LLM knowledge with statistical expertise, including demonstrated experience with common ML techniques such as predictive modeling, time series modeling, classification, and clustering. Strong mathematics skills, particularly in statistics, are required, including the ability to determine appropriate machine learning algorithms and evaluate their performance.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, the individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Zapier’s machine learning & AI tooling capabilities and influencing the way products are built using these tools. They will provide invaluable technical mentorship and assistance in scaling the use of AI/ML across the company, empowering product, business, and engineering teams to leverage AI on a daily basis. The role involves monitoring and interpreting changes in employment legislation across North America and developing HR policies to ensure compliance, conducting audits, delivering training, and advising management on HR-related risk mitigation strategies.
