Candidates should possess a computer science background or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience in programming styles, data structures, and algorithms. They should have exposure to cross-platform testing to ensure consistent performance, reliability, and scalability across Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Furthermore, experience with networking protocols, distributed systems, layered architectures, cloud services, containerization technologies, web services (JSON, REST, RPC, XML), AWS EC2 & S3, and strong debugging skills is required. Prior application, OS, web browser, or hardware compatibility testing experience is also necessary, along with computer and/or network security knowledge.
As a Sr. Engineer - Sensor SDET, the individual will design, develop, extend, and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy, particularly focusing on performance, stress, and longevity testing. They will implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automation and testing processes, review engineering technical design documents and requirements, and provide plans and strategies for testability. The role involves leading comprehensive testing efforts across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms, contributing to existing tools and frameworks, collaborating with teams to expand test coverage, leveraging cloud services and containerization, overseeing testing for system reliability and scalability, and building test infrastructure. Additionally, the individual will mentor and lead the automation team, providing guidance and fostering a high-performing team culture, and creating and maintaining test environments.
