Requirements

  • Qualification according to NIV Art. 9 as an electrical installation and safety expert with a federal diploma (electrician HFP)
  • Holder of a control permit in accordance with NIV Art. 27 with the willingness to complete the further training in accordance with NIV Art. 9
  • Proven several years of professional experience in a large-scale industrial environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
  • Sound knowledge of dealing with authorities, especially the Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current (ESTI)
  • Strong negotiation skills and confident appearance in the regulatory environment
  • Analytical solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong multi-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience in a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Ability to compete and thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

  • Organisation and coordination of electrical inspections, including acceptance and periodic inspections (e.g. random inspections) in collaboration with external inspection companies
  • Examination of incoming safety certificates in accordance with the currently applicable standards and regulations
  • Planning and organisation of required machine inspections in compliance with SN EN 60204-1, Chapter 17.8
  • Organization of the legally required inspections of small appliances in compliance with SNR 462638
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements in close coordination with the operator – with a special focus on efficient and cost-effective implementation
  • Testing and approval of all conversions and new installations of medium and low voltage systems
  • Organization and execution supervision of preventive maintenance of medium and low-voltage systems
  • Organization and supervision of the legally required training of internal and external personnel with access to the electrical installations
