Requirements

  • Four-year degree in a relevant field (business or life sciences)
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in a commercial sales or marketing management role, preferably within the Life Sciences industry
  • Relevant experience in managing business functions with a minimum of 5 years of P&L general management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in driving growth and share gain in a large, complex business through direct and indirect sales channels
  • In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial and business operations with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvements
  • Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead employees to achieve performance objectives
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a multi-divisional matrix organization
  • Possessing a strong determination and a focus on achieving desired results
  • Strong communication ability across various levels within the organization and with external collaborators

Responsibilities

  • Lead the North American commercial team in successfully implementing strategic growth initiatives and commercial activities
  • Develop and implement the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy to support divisional AOP and STRAP
  • Collaborate across functions such as Service Management, Customer Services, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain to improve customer value
  • Foster and strengthen high-level customer relationships, serving as a point of contact for any concerns raised by our partners and representing Thermo Fisher Scientific in senior-level discussions
  • Align actions and processes across local, regional, and global teams to improve customer happiness and achieve a world-class Customer Allegiance Score (CAS)
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent while building an effective leadership succession pipeline
  • Foster an inclusive environment that drives employee engagement measured by the Employee Involvement Survey (EIS)
