Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience, along with 5-7 years of experience in Security Operations, including expertise in Windows, Linux, cloud environments, SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and email gateways. They should have extensive knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and virtualization, and a strong understanding of native OS logging mechanisms. Experience with modern security tooling, such as next-generation firewalls, SIEMs, endpoint defense, and privileged access management, is also required, as well as the desire to work with a talented cybersecurity team.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Cybersecurity Ops Analyst will utilize security tooling like SIEM, EDR, and email gateways to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents, identify and escalate gaps in tooling coverage, research cybersecurity threats and determine their potential impact on DICK’S Sporting Goods, follow and suggest enhancements to Standard Operating Procedures and playbooks, participate in tabletop exercises, partner with teammates across Cybersecurity and Digital Trust, and 3rd parties to evolve security capabilities. They will also regularly review and update incident response plans, coach and mentor junior teammates, and leverage internal and external training to hone skills.
