Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in human ecology, business, finance, communications, marketing or related field preferred
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses required (must obtain required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within designated time period; additional licenses may be required for new products/services)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a sales-driven position (experience in sales or service preferred)
  • Preference for hybrid in-office schedule (3-4 days per week) in Columbus, OH (remote considered based on candidate pool)

Responsibilities

  • Initiates daily contacts to targeted business partners to build relationships, discover needs, and consult/advise based on clients’ needs
  • Develops and grows strategic partnerships and relationships with business partners to meet territory management performance requirements
  • Determines viability of business partners based on customer needs, business needs, and products
  • Responds to requests from business partners and external sales within assigned territory, providing support materials (e.g., illustrations, proposals, product/rider information) and addressing questions/concerns
  • Assists with case design, business consultations, product updates, training, product rollouts, and point-of-sale consulting
  • Contacts business partners to support campaigns highlighting product features/benefits and advises on sales ideas/solutions (e.g., new/old products, cross-selling)
  • Partners with external sales force to consult with business partners and grow their business, advising on product/procedural modifications
  • Engages business partners to retain their business with Nationwide, understanding reasons for asset flight and advising alternative solutions
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned
