Requirements

Four or more years of relevant accounting experience, including at least two years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate financial reporting and/or technical accounting roles
Active CPA certification
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial disclosure requirements, with demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research, write effective position papers, and communicate appropriate accounting treatment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement in all aspects of work
Live within commuting distance of offices in Omaha or Lincoln, NE

Responsibilities

Lead financial reporting: prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures; manage the reporting calendar, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external auditors for timely and accurate filings
Provide technical accounting expertise: research and analyze complex accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation); provide technical guidance; develop and maintain accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP; provide accounting support for M&A activity
Enhance processes and controls: support quarterly and annual audits; assist with internal controls (SOX) compliance; identify opportunities to drive efficiency and automation; contribute to process improvements in financial reporting and technical accounting
Support strategic decision-making: prepare monthly interim financials, flux analysis, and ad-hoc reports and analyses requested by management; stay current on new accounting standards and proactively assess their impact on the Company
