Requirements

  • Prior work or life experience in a relevant field
  • Currently enrolled as a Senior in a Bachelor’s program, or a recent graduate with a major in Media, Marketing, Advertising, or similar field (degree not required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Passion for social media and pop culture
  • Social media platform expert, knowledgeable in the ins-and-outs of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
  • Proficiency in a Mac environment
  • Experience with Google Docs, Google Analytics, Canva, and the Adobe Suite
  • Ability to work well as a team player in a flexible, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to a 10-week paid internship (June 3, 2025 - August 8, 2025, max 25 hours/week) in Knoxville, TN

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sonic Social Media team to set up, track, report on, and analyze social media campaigns
  • Participate in the creative brainstorming process to create engaging content
  • Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities to capitalize on social trends relevant to client needs and objectives
  • Assist the team with developing calendars and monitoring customer feedback
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for the team
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
  • Potential travel (overnight, driving long distances), extended sitting, occasional walking/standing, and lifting/carrying items under 10 pounds
