Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in system software development, particularly in BIOS, BMC firmware, or boot processes. Strong proficiency in C/C++ is required, alongside a solid understanding of BIOS and BMC firmware architectures, server boot processes (EFI, UEFI), and NetBoot technologies. Experience with root-of-trust and security principles, as well as kernel-mode driver development and debugging, is also essential.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer, System Software will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and debugging of critical system software components, including BIOS, BMC firmware, boot processes, root of trust implementations, advanced system logging, and kernel-mode drivers. They will also contribute to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of server platforms, integrate data center orchestration technologies at the node level, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, collaborate with hardware and software teams to troubleshoot complex issues, and work on representative projects such as implementing secure boot processes, developing kernel-mode drivers, designing advanced logging solutions, and optimizing BIOS firmware.
