Candidates must have at least 2 years of software development experience, including over 1 year of hands-on Drupal development in full-stack or back-end roles. Experience with PHP and Drupal, including module development, custom content types, views, permissions, and performance tuning, is required. A strong understanding of integrating Drupal with cloud-based data platforms and APIs, particularly Acquia and/or AWS services, is necessary. Proficiency in Agile environments with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, now or in the future, and may be subject to a government background check or security clearance. The ability to obtain a Tier 4 Public Trust Clearance is also required.
The Software Engineer will design, review, and build well-crafted software, collaborating with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements. Responsibilities include building and maintaining custom content types and data structures, developing secure and scalable API integrations with platforms like AWS DataZone, Glue, EDP, and PowerBI, and supporting Zero Trust principles through lineage tracking and role-based access controls. The engineer will also ensure front-end functionality meets user needs, enable flexible development workflows, troubleshoot and optimize Drupal performance, and contribute to open-source efforts. Routine participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues is expected.
