Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python are essential, along with experience leveraging modern LLMs in a production environment, including debugging, performance management, and continuous improvement. Proven experience in delivering projects end-to-end in collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to adapt to and tackle challenges in unfamiliar tech stacks are also required. Familiarity with data warehouses, particularly DataBricks, is preferred, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

The AI Software Engineer will build high-quality, AI-driven software solutions to enhance emergency call center efficiency and effectiveness. This includes identifying optimal data sources, designing for robustness, and leveraging vast datasets of emergency calls and sensor payloads to identify patterns and insights. The role involves fusing internal and external data for optimal decision support to call takers, working across the full technology stack, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into the RapidSOS platform. Additionally, the engineer will stay updated on the latest AI advancements and assess their applicability to public safety missions.
