Software Engineer - Configuration Management

Position Overview

Belay Technologies, a recipient of Baltimore Business Journal’s Best Places to Work awards, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our intel team. This role focuses on configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Experience: Eight (8) years of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Alternative Education: Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, reducing total experience to six (6) years.
  • Source Code Control (Developmental Programs): One (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required if assigned to a developmental program.

Responsibilities

  • Configuration Management (CM): Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.
  • Configuration Baselines: Work with developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems.
  • Automated CM Tools: Utilize or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
  • CM Plans & Procedures: Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
  • CM Discipline: Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
  • Change Control & Audits: Perform change control and configuration audits.
