Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in software engineering. Required experience includes 3 years working with relational databases and 5 years in languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Javascript, or Typescript. Experience developing in a Unix environment and full-stack development, including REST APIs, Javascript frameworks, and relational databases, is also necessary. Excellent communication skills are essential, and eligibility to obtain a TS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions for complex software and data challenges. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing existing systems, supporting users in the field with feature implementation and debugging, and being available for occasional off-hours production deployment support. The role also involves providing technical guidance to team members, evaluating and recommending developer tooling, working with product owners on engineering roadmaps, and developing both backend and frontend features.
