Requirements
Candidates should possess 2-5 years of real-world software engineering experience, proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript, Python, C++, Go, or Java, and experience with data pipelines, databases, and cloud platforms like Mongo, Snowflake, and AWS. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and Sentry, along with CI/CD practices, is also required. Experience designing and implementing fault-tolerant distributed systems, knowledge of job orchestration frameworks, and experience with modern ETL/ELT processes are considered pluses. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is needed.
Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will build backend systems in a modern monorepo, working hands-on in a TypeScript + Node.js codebase to design and develop backend services that power APIs, job schedulers, and index calculation engines. They will write clean, testable code supporting real-time and batch processing, redesign and scale the job orchestration framework, maintain and evolve the data pipeline, collaborate directly with leadership, drive reliability and operational excellence, and contribute to engineering culture through code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.
