Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, including 2+ years leading large scale, complex projects as an engineer or tech lead. A solid foundational knowledge of security engineering principles and technologies is required. Hands-on, technical expertise in securing and managing cloud infrastructure is necessary. Experience in leading organizations to comply with security standards and regulations such as SOC 2 and GDPR is preferred. Proficiency in a backend programming language, particularly Golang and Python, along with familiarity with security frameworks and libraries, is expected.
The software engineer will lead 'shift left' security efforts to integrate security best practices into workflows across the company. They will design and drive the implementation of secure infrastructure at scale, perform security assessments, code audits, and design reviews. Additionally, they will own the vulnerability management lifecycle end-to-end and create policies, processes, and tooling that enhance Assembled’s security posture.
