Requirements

  • Experience developing sophisticated front-ends for web applications with responsive designs, modular and loosely coupled code
  • Experience with modern Javascript and frameworks (e.g. Web Components, React, ES6, TypeScript, Vue, Angular, GraphQL) and architectures like MVC/Flux/Redux
  • Knowledge of Web Standards and modern browsers, both at their API level and their internals (JS engines, browser performance, reflow, repaint, shadow DOM, progressive rendering, Service Workers, CDNs, CSS resetting, normalising, SCSS, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm to learn any of the above areas if you don't have experience
  • Experience with unit, integration and end to end testing

Responsibilities

  • Develop new UI components
  • Elevate core end-user-facing experiences
  • Optimize the performance of our user interface
  • Architect and build the platform that underpins these user experiences in a reusable manner
  • Design foundational front-end infrastructure to support UI dialogs, marketing promotions templates, etc
  • Build complex user interfaces for composing messages
  • Build libraries for tracking events, analysing data, and orchestrating user journeys
  • Extend, optimize, and future-proof all parts of our front-end stack
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, Frontend Architects, and Product Managers to design and implement modern, delightful, and intuitive features
