A basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols, proficiency in the Linux operating system, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The role also requires good oral and written communication skills, enthusiasm for learning new technologies, attention to detail, and the ability to design software considering hardware resource constraints. Experience in satellite communication systems is considered a plus.
The Software Developer will collaborate with experienced engineers on the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software applications, focusing on embedded software modules using C++ and Python. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of networking solutions, contributing to software tools and frameworks, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting software defects, and supporting the integration of software components on Linux. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining documentation, and leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced satellite ground segment software systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
