Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or a related science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 13 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience. Strong background in GPU or SIMD architectures is required, along with experience in specifying architecture and micro-architectures, implementing high-level functional and performance models, and possessing strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
The SoC GPU Architect will propose innovative GPU architectural and microarchitectural features to enhance PPA (Performance, Power, and Area) on various targeted workloads within next-generation SOCs, identify and deliver GPU subsystem architecture proposals for products in new and existing markets, evaluate architecture proposal benefits in collaboration with a team of SoC architects, perform high-level performance modeling and analysis of GPU features and applications, deliver architecture/microarchitecture proposals and specifications to the design team, collaborate with silicon bring-up and product teams, analyze benchmarks and application workloads, and articulate architecture proposals effectively across diverse audiences, including hardware and software engineers, architecture community peers, and technology leadership.
