Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions based on business requirements
Develop, test, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the Snowflake environment
Build and optimize logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity and performance
Optimize the Snowflake environment for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability; monitor and tune queries for high performance
Implement role-based security, encryption, and other data governance protocols to ensure data privacy and security compliance
Automate recurring tasks and implement best practices for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using scripting languages like Python, Shell, or SnowSQL
Work closely with data architects, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights
Integrate Snowflake with various data sources such as cloud-based storage, relational databases, APIs, and external data providers
Maintain thorough documentation of designs, ETL processes, and best practices to ensure continuity and clarity for other team members
Perform independently and become a subject matter expert (SME)
Actively participate and contribute in team discussions
Contribute to providing solutions to work-related problems
Assist in the development and implementation of application support processes
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Document and maintain records of support activities and resolutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application functionality
Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of applications
