  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
  • Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare items for shipment
  • Prepare items for ground carrier transport via wrapping and boxing
  • Utilize hand tools to build crates to ship freight carrier
  • Secure items by strapping them to pallets
  • Update item status in enterprise system
  • Input necessary data into vendor systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship, Purolator, etc.)
  • Create electronic BOL and ship items via freight carrier
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload freight carriers
  • Operate overhead crane
  • Create and file customers paperwork through Border Connect
  • Complete and file broker paperwork through Deringer
  • Receive boxes from carriers (UPS, FedEx, Freight trucks, etc.)
  • Receive jobs from customer walk-ins and Account Managers
  • Place job tags on items
  • Scan shipper and tag shipper to enterprise system
  • Examine items and compare with records to verify accuracy
  • Paint components in preparation for shipping
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures for department and company
  • All other duties as assigned
