Requirements

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems installation and configuration
  • Ability to review complex designs and configure hardware, peripherals, services, and settings
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory infrastructure design and implementation (desirable)
  • Monitoring systems and ensuring platform availability according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Troubleshooting complex system issues and escalating appropriately
  • Experience with change control processes and service management guidelines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide detailed statistical information for reporting purposes
  • On-call support availability (24/7)

Responsibilities

  • Installs, documents, and configures Windows Operating Systems
  • Reviews complex designs and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage
  • Performs Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations
  • Monitors systems to ensure availability according to SLAs
  • Provides support for monitoring systems and setting appropriate thresholds and alerts
  • Reacts and responds to events according to escalation procedures
  • Provides complex statistical information for weekly and monthly status updates
  • Acts as a 3rd line technical support resource
  • Deploys changes in accordance with the Global Payments change control process
  • Raises, updates, and closes change control tickets
  • Monitors and reviews system logs, detects and troubleshoots problems, and escalates as needed
  • Supports issue resolution and provides feedback to support teams
  • Provides on-call support within the established structure
  • Investigates, troubleshoots, and mentors for escalated issues
  • Conducts complex system maintenance, including patch management, firmware management, and operating system upgrades
  • Provides out-of-hours support as required
