Requirements

  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows systems, including approved vendor hardware and software
  • Ability to install, document, and configure Windows Operating Systems
  • Proficiency in reviewing complex designs and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc
  • Experience performing Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations for service integration, focusing on scale, capacity, resiliency, and reliability
  • Capability to design and implement multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructure
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems to ensure platform availability per SLAs, including setting thresholds and alerts
  • Skills in reacting to and responding to events per escalation procedures
  • Experience providing 3rd line technical support and deploying changes via change control processes
  • Proficiency in monitoring system logs, detecting, troubleshooting problems, and escalating issues
  • Ability to conduct complex system maintenance, including patch management, firmware management, and OS upgrades per best practices
  • Familiarity with backup procedures, disaster recovery systems, and regular DR testing
  • Knowledge of Information Security guidelines, PCI standards, and security monitoring
  • Experience providing on-call support 24/7 and out-of-hours support for changes and maintenance
  • Ability to mentor less experienced team members

Responsibilities

  • Install, document, and configure Windows Operating Systems
  • Review complex designs and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc., in accordance with design requirements
  • Perform Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations as part of Service Integration
  • Provide estimates of work effort and impact for projects and tasks
  • Design and implement multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructure
  • Monitor systems to ensure availability per SLAs and support monitoring systems
  • React and respond to events per escalation procedures
  • Provide complex statistical information to datacentre management for status updates
  • Act as 3rd line technical support and deploy changes per Global Payments change control process, managing tickets
  • Monitor and review system logs, detect/troubleshoot problems, escalate, and support issue resolution via ticketing
  • Provide feedback and updates to Incident resolution support teams
  • Provide on-call support 24/7 and investigate/troubleshoot/mentor on escalated issues
  • Plan and develop strategies for patch management, firmware management, and OS upgrades; provide out-of-hours support
  • Ensure systems are backed up per practices and mentor team members in maintenance
  • Report and assist in investigations of security breaches per Information Security guidelines
  • Review and investigate issues from security monitoring and system access per guidelines
  • Maintain systems to meet PCI, Security Standards, and industry best practices
  • Create/review disaster recovery systems, maintain code/configuration/documentation, and perform regular DR testing
  • Interact closely with client service representatives
