Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, with over 5 years of experience in web application software development. Experience as a full stack developer using Java, with front-end development skills in React, Typescript, JavaScript, and CSS, is required. Experience building microservices using Service Oriented Architecture, analyzing and debugging legacy codebases, and software testing, including unit testing frameworks, are essential. Familiarity with debugging tools, performance profiling, system optimization, database schema design, and SQL query languages is also necessary. A Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, as is experience with large datasets and UI design principles. Enthusiasm for AI-assisted coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Web Application Developer will support, enhance, and maintain Aptiv's web-based automotive business intelligence tool. This role involves investigating and resolving production issues across distributed systems, often involving complex legacy code. Responsibilities include collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot issues, implementing improvements, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The developer will partner with users to develop and execute acceptance test plans, stay current with software technologies, and document technical concepts clearly.
