Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
3+ years of accounting experience, with heavy emphasis on Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and AP best practices
Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Process and manage a large volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals
Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with company policies
Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments to vendors
Maintain vendor relationships, handle payment inquiries, and negotiate payment terms when needed
Prepare and post journal entries related to AP and other financial transactions
Assist with general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of month-end financial data
Ensure proper accruals for AP and other expenses during month-end close
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and account reconciliations
Analyze AP data for cost management and provide insights to management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of AP operations
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures
Work closely with procurement, operations, and other departments to ensure financial data accuracy
Participate in special accounting projects as needed
