Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 7 years of experience in software engineering, specifically with a focus on video and streaming technologies. Strong programming skills in Go, Typescript (Node), and familiarity with Javascript frameworks such as React are required, as well as experience designing and implementing APIs. Experience with AWS and cloud tooling, including Kubernetes (EKS), AWS Lambda, and Docker, is also necessary.
The Senior Software Engineer, Video will contribute to creating and maintaining integrations with NVRs, VMS, and video-capable devices, as well as supporting Flock’s own VMS software. This role involves working cross-functionally with other engineering and product teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems, ultimately supporting Flock’s mission of reducing crime and creating safer communities.
License plate reader cameras for crime prevention
