Job Description
About the Team:
The Security Center team’s mission is focused on providing customers awareness about how secure their ServiceNow product is, as well as insights and tools to take action and remediate holes in their security. We do this by building visualizations that aggregate data sources and show history and trends. We rely on various ServiceNow platform features to listen on, monitor and ingest this data.
What you get to do in this role:
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Work with the product owners and designers to understand requirements and refine scope of work
- Own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery
- Collaborate with your fellow developers, and on other teams, and quality engineering peers
- Contribute to both new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
- Shape intuitive user experiences and customer journeys across our product suite
- Troubleshoot customer environments and debug code
- Explore and integrate ServiceNow AI capabilities into our products
- Mentor peers and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and engineering excellence

Qualifications
Must Have:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
- Strong proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages
- Experience developing applications in JavaScript
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and performance optimization
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting production systems
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
Nice to Have:
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Familiarity with ServiceNow platform features and scripting (Glide, Flow Designer)
- Exposure to AI-powered tools and workflows
- Passion for web technologies, reusability, and component-based architecture
- Hands-on software engineering experience in the security domain
Location and Compensation

- For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $140,700 - $239,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
