Requirements

  • Full-stack generalist or backend specialist with at least 4+ years of experience building large-scale web applications or backend services
  • Comfortable writing clean, production-quality Go (Golang) code, including services, libraries, and tests (repo is Go-first with modern Go AI and search libraries)
  • Experienced in production search systems such as OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or comparable platforms, with a track record of designing mappings and tuning queries for real traffic
  • Excited about LLMs, agents, embeddings, and retrieval, and able to turn prototypes into reliable, instrumented services (experience with LLM APIs, tokenizers, or cloud GenAI SDKs is a plus)
  • Comfortable working outside of a traditional, narrow engineering role
  • Self-starter who has started something meaningful on their own (e.g., a startup, open-source project, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate services that power retrieval, semantic search, agent orchestration, model integrations, and data pipelines using proprietary signals for product features
  • Work with one of the deepest private-market datasets to build systems that surface high-value signals for investors
  • Design and operate OpenSearch-backed retrieval and semantic search systems and tune them for real product use
  • Build and run agent orchestration, model integrations, and safety layers for LLM-driven workflows
  • Prototype new AI-driven features and productionize them in a Go-first codebase
  • Own large features end-to-end and improve testing, observability, and operational practices
  • Consistently deliver high-quality, well-tested code that meets team goals and timelines
  • Actively contribute to team discussions and decisions with thoughtful technical perspectives
  • Mentor and support other engineers to elevate team performance
