The Talent Management Engineering team within EBS is searching for a highly skilled Senior Front-End UI Software Engineer. This role will focus on developing impactful, associate-facing applications and experiences within the People Tech pillar. You will be instrumental in hands-on development of critical platform capabilities using cutting-edge technologies, building reusable and extensible platform services that will benefit 2.2 million Walmart associates worldwide. What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design and development of complex, scalable front-end features with a strong emphasis on reusability, maintainability, and long-term system health.
• Develop platform features utilizing front-end technologies such as React and React Native, alongside microservices built with Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot, within an event-driven architecture (Kafka, SSE, WebSocket).
• Play a key role in exploring and integrating AI and Generative AI capabilities to enhance user experiences, drive personalization, and streamline front-end workflows. This includes surfacing intelligent insights and embedding GenAI-powered UI features to elevate our products.
• Uphold engineering and operational excellence standards, embracing automation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner closely with product, UX, and business stakeholders to align on vision and outcomes, ensuring the developed solutions are extensible across multiple use cases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business, product, data science, front-end engineering, and data engineering teams to ensure alignment and achieve business goals.
• Integrate various data structures using Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and GraphQL APIs.
• Emphasize data security, including sensitive data handling and access control.
• Implement feature flags and CI/CD pipelines with automation, ensuring high operational excellence with 99.99% uptime and sub-second API responses for P90 metrics.
• Support production operations for critical and high-impact applications.

What You'll Bring

• Deep expertise in React for web development and React Native for mobile platforms.
• Strong expertise in platform integration skills using React, React Native, Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in working with diverse data structures using Cosmos DB, Graph DB, SQL Server, Kafka event topics, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with version control using Git in collaborative environments.
• Proven track record of ownership and successful delivery.
• Experience developing GenAI-based applications utilizing skills such as Prompt Engineering, RAG, etc.
• Experience with feature flags, CI/CD automation, and shift-left principles.
• Experience with large-scale systems.
