Expertise in Electron (35+), including major version upgrades and handling Chromium changes
Proficiency with electron-builder for multi-platform packaging (NSIS, MSI, Squirrel installers)
Experience with electron-updater for safe, differential auto-updates
Strong skills in designing and maintaining robust CI pipelines (GitLab CI), including automated testing strategies
Ability to debug and optimize desktop app performance, focusing on memory leaks, CPU usage, and audio quality
Knowledge of native integrations with USB telephony hardware (e.g., Jabra, Plantronics, Yealink headsets) using Node.js native modules (node-hid)
Familiarity with code signing, notarization (e.g., @electron/notarize for Mac, esigner.js for Windows), and publishing to app stores
Experience with TypeScript, Vite, RxJS, and AWS for builds and crash reporting
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for critical issues
Passion for best practices, mentoring, and delivering quality with agility in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Own the lifecycle of the desktop app, including publishing to app stores, code signing, notarization, and safe auto-updates for global users
Design and maintain robust CI pipelines (GitLab CI) and implement automated testing strategies for Electron, collaborating with QA
Safely navigate major Electron and Chromium version bumps, anticipating breaking changes and managing impacts on device management and memory usage
Debug and optimize application performance, focusing on memory leaks and CPU usage in desktop environments for high audio quality
Maintain and extend native integrations with USB telephony hardware for call control and presence features
Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues
Evangelize best practices, mentor team members, and ensure native-grade experience bridging web app and OS
