Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with over 10 years of progressive software engineering experience in high-volume, high-throughput production environments. A background in Backend or Full Stack technologies is essential, along with expertise in architecting complex systems for maintainability, performance, and scalability. Strong engineering fundamentals and a proven track record of technical best practices, including code style, documentation, code review, bug fixing, and production issue mitigation, are required. Preferred qualifications include solid experience with supply chain optimization systems, proficiency in Rails, Python, and PostgreSQL, and experience building and integrating predictive ML models. The ability to thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment with a growth mindset and a pragmatic, impact-biased approach to problem-solving is also desired.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will improve patients' lives through a better pharmacy experience by owning services that manage prescription processing from intake to fulfillment. Key focus areas include preparing prescriptions for fulfillment and delivery accurately and quickly through automation and manual task coordination, and enabling business growth by allowing partners to easily configure billing, benefits, and clinical workflows. Example projects involve increasing automation rates using LLMs, accelerating pharmacist workflows with integrated dispensing history and risk scores, and optimizing drug selection for patient cost savings. The role also entails mentoring other engineers, encouraging best practices, solving complex technical problems at the intersection of healthcare and e-commerce, and acting as a thought leader on building predictive systems.
