Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering and a minimum of 4 years of experience with Java. They should be able to work effectively on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership, and have experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery. Additionally, candidates are required to have experience building robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies and experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines. Proficiency in Java frameworks and tools, including Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM, is also required, as is experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, and scalable architectures, along with experience using AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) and containerization tools.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer, Backend will be responsible for implementing backend systems that support all business features, designing, developing, testing, and scaling systems needed to deliver great user and partner experiences, and collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering peers to solve user problems. They will also work on rolling out changes to customers in an agile manner with a delivery cadence favoring small, frequent iterations, leading scoping, design, and implementation for APIs, and driving production rollouts to completion with minimal oversight.
