Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or similar, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in software engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience with utilizing and integrating with Generative AI solutions to enhance productivity
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture, including experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud application development, including scalable, data-driven, and message-oriented architecture
- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., Cosmos)
- Expertise in version control tools and agile development methodologies
- Ability to debug complex issues, analyze logs in production environments, quickly understand and build upon existing codebase
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor small groups of 3-4 engineers to deliver initiatives
- Design solutions and collaborate with members across platform teams to develop and maintain robust and scalable solutions that ensure high performance, reliability, and adaptability
- Write clean, efficient code and manage full lifecycle development
- Integrate AI/ML components to enhance system capabilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications using various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies
- Leverage GenAI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency
- Collaborate with a small team of engineers on software development and design, identifying short-term and long-term solutions
- Evaluate proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and conduct design and code reviews for modifications
- Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs
- Leverage automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards
- Work with the team to continuously improve software development methodologies and practices
- Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system upgrades
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while continuously learning and adopting new tools, libraries, and frameworks
