Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or similar, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in software engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
  • Experience with utilizing and integrating with Generative AI solutions to enhance productivity
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture, including experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud application development, including scalable, data-driven, and message-oriented architecture
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., Cosmos)
  • Expertise in version control tools and agile development methodologies
  • Ability to debug complex issues, analyze logs in production environments, quickly understand and build upon existing codebase
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor small groups of 3-4 engineers to deliver initiatives
  • Design solutions and collaborate with members across platform teams to develop and maintain robust and scalable solutions that ensure high performance, reliability, and adaptability
  • Write clean, efficient code and manage full lifecycle development
  • Integrate AI/ML components to enhance system capabilities
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications using various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies
  • Leverage GenAI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency
  • Collaborate with a small team of engineers on software development and design, identifying short-term and long-term solutions
  • Evaluate proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and conduct design and code reviews for modifications
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs
  • Leverage automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards
  • Work with the team to continuously improve software development methodologies and practices
  • Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system upgrades
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while continuously learning and adopting new tools, libraries, and frameworks
