Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record in full-stack development
Proficient in TypeScript, Elastic, Express, React, Node, GraphQL, and MySQL — and comfortable with functional programming principles
Affinity with data and AI, and excitement about working in a product that blends both
Care about code quality — writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code is second nature
Comfortable leading by example: coach peers, inspire the team, and keep projects moving towards goals
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Able to join in the Ghent office at least 3 days per week

Responsibilities

Own the code, front to back
Design, develop, and deploy features across the stack — from React UIs to Node and GraphQL backends — with TypeScript
Make performance a habit: write clean, maintainable, and scalable code; review PRs, run tests, and ensure quality from day one
Level up the team: coach and mentor teammates, share best practices, and help raise the technical game
Stay ahead of the curve: keep an eye on new tools, frameworks, and approaches — and bring the best into the stack
Adapt and deliver: embrace startup pace, iterate fast, solve problems creatively, and jump on new challenges as scaling
