Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in quality engineering and demonstrate experience in developing test automation frameworks, proficiency in Java and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito, experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, proficiency in writing test cases for web applications, experience writing contract tests with tools like Pact, Postman, and Cypress, experience testing REST APIs in a microservice environment, familiarity with AWS and testing SaaS applications, familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores, familiarity with observability tools such as Kibana and Datadog, familiarity with setting up synthetic monitoring, familiarity with Jenkins, Cloudbees, and CI/CD workflows, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience planning and executing multi-sprint tasks using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for designing automation testing best practices, establishing quality standards and processes, performing manual testing of backend applications, assisting engineers in creating automation tests, maintaining healthy automation testing pipelines, driving multiple projects to completion from a QA perspective, and serving as a mentor to the team, delivering recommendations on how to evolve testing best practices within the organization to solve today’s problems with the future direction of product testing in mind.
