Exceptional communication abilities are essential for team integration, onboarding, and fast-paced collaboration. The role requires expertise in architecting enterprise-grade cross-platform applications with React Native, a minimum of 3 years of professional experience with React Native and TypeScript, strong Git skills (branching strategies, pull requests, cherry-pick), full mobile release lifecycle experience (iOS + Android), experience writing testable code and maintaining agreed coverage levels, and the ability to create and implement mobile UX/UI patterns. Candidates should also be able to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes (ideally with GitHub Actions), monitoring & observability tools (Datadog, Crashlytics), content management systems like Contentful, feature flagging platforms (DevCycle, LaunchDarkly), documentation in Confluence, and code analysis with SonarCloud are considered advantageous. The candidate must be based in Portugal.

Responsibilities

The Senior React Native Developer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and shipping high-quality features for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript, translating Figma designs into responsive UI components, and integrating with libraries and back-end APIs. They will write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, implement and manage feature flags, and lead the fortnightly release process, including cutting branches, cherry-picking fixes, and submitting to app stores. Responsibilities also include managing and automating CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, hosting release sync meetings, managing release communications, and maintaining release documentation. The role involves monitoring app performance with Datadog and Crashlytics, responding to alerts, gathering and triaging user feedback, and managing in-app content updates. Developers will also diagnose and resolve production issues, monitor and improve application health, work autonomously and collaboratively, and be an integral part of solutions design and implementation.
