Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer with Python, demonstrating strong proficiency in FastAPI or other Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django. They should have extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, and query optimization, along with knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures. Furthermore, candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with Redis, Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka for asynchronous processing. Experience implementing secure and scalable authentication mechanisms, proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices are also required.
The Senior Python Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient RESTful APIs using FastAPI, optimizing and managing PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance, and implementing best practices for API development including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting. They will improve system reliability, scalability, and performance through architectural decisions, collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure data flow and integration, write unit and integration tests, enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and ensure a seamless user experience.
