Senior Product Designer - Platform Design and Research

Position Overview

The Platform Design and Research team at Coinbase is central to executing the company's vision of creating more economic freedom for the world. This team is at the forefront of product execution across the entire company, building secure, trusted, and easy-to-use cryptocurrency products for both beginners and advanced users.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will contribute to our mission, vision, and strategy by deeply understanding customer and business needs. Your role will involve developing optimal user journeys to help customers understand and confidently use cryptocurrency. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Cross-Functional (XFN) teams to build simple, intuitive experiences that embody the Coinbase brand and values.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small team to iteratively improve user experience.
• Take new features from ideation through prototyping, user testing, and production.
• Design simple and intuitive web and mobile experiences.
• Partner with the Design Systems team to document and define scalable design patterns and components.
• Participate in regular design reviews, actively seeking and incorporating relevant feedback.
• Execute on the product roadmap and contribute to defining product strategy.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Product Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile platforms.
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication.
• Proven experience working collaboratively with engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
• Fluency in Figma and other prototyping tools.
• Demonstrated low ego, collaborative, and open-minded approach.
• Interest in crypto or financial products.
• This role requires the candidate to be based in the UK.
