Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in developing pipeline tools and workflows in a CG production environment
  • Experience with real-time asset implementation and optimization
  • Experience with PyQt / PySide development
  • Experience shipping content produced in Unreal (bonus for cinematic content, rendered or real-time)
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal, including scripting (blueprints, Python, HLSL)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming practices
  • Strong working knowledge of Maya
  • Strong understanding of the CG production process, from asset creation to final implementation
  • Team-oriented approach and understanding of the importance of collaboration
  • Self-motivated ability to proactively solve problems
  • Strong desire to function in a technical support role
  • Solid understanding of the game development process outside of technical art

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for artists in production
  • Maintain existing code base and develop new libraries and tools as necessary
  • Contribute to the design and development of production workflows
  • Mentor the team to ensure art is technically compliant and performant
  • Directly contribute to establishing and improving artist workflows
