Position Overview
The Senior Mortgage Broker Assistant is responsible for supporting Australian mortgage brokers with administrative tasks related to preparing, processing, and tracking loan applications. This role involves communication with stakeholders, document preparation, system and CRM updates, and managing loan applications from pre-submission to post-approval within specified timeframes. The goal is to ensure a smooth and streamlined customer experience.
Requirements
- Education:
- Certificate IV Financing & Mortgage Brokering
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant course.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in the Australian mortgage broking industry, specializing in AU loan processing.
- Experience using mortgage broking industry CRM software such as MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, or Salestrekker.
- Proficiency in IT software, Google Workspace, and/or Microsoft Office (including Gmail or Outlook).
- Experience using Project/Task Management Tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Airtable, Asana).
Responsibilities
- Document Management: Collecting, renaming, organizing, and following up on sensitive supporting documentation.
- Compliance: Performing NCCP Compliance checks and transcribing notes from summaries to detailed responses.
- Financial Calculations: Calculating income for both PAYG and Self-Employed applicants.
- Financial Interpretation: Understanding and interpreting complex financials (Self-employed, trusts, and company).
- Servicing Calculations: Completing lender servicing calculators.
- Data Entry:
- Entering client information into MyCRM (LMG CRM system).
- Entering loan applications into MyCRM, Apply Online (AOL), Simpology, or directly to the lender.
- Analysis: Conducting living expense analysis.
- Lender Research: Assisting in researching lenders with specific policies to meet client requirements.
- Paperwork Generation: Creating application paperwork, including First Home Buyers and Discharge forms.
- Valuations: Ordering valuations based on broker information, understanding different valuation types, and communicating with valuation firms.
- Pricing Requests: Managing pricing requests across multiple lenders for new applications and settled loans.
- Credit Reports: Generating and interpreting comprehensive credit reports.
- Condition Mitigation: Assisting in mitigating MIRs, Conditional Approvals, and Settlement Conditions.
- Document Verification: Cross-checking approval and settlement documents to ensure details match client requirements.
- Settlement Management: Ensuring settlements occur on time and meet crucial deadlines.
- Complex Structures: Gaining initial exposure to complex loan structures and types (multiple applicants, multiple securities, SMSF, company and trust lending, etc.).
