Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager Software Engineer, Fullstack (Java, React) to lead technology projects and a team of developers. This role focuses on creating cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs and drive powerful customer experiences. You’ll be part of a team focused on innovation and disruption within Capital One.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of people management experience
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages: JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
- Experience with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS tools and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
- Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
- Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, and mentoring other engineers.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Utilize various programming languages, databases, and cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- At least 9 years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
