Candidates should possess a PhD or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics, natural language processing, computational linguistics, information retrieval, computational biology, bioinformatics, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required, along with a solid track record of publications, patents, or launched products in AI using NLP or LLMs. A strong understanding of machine learning concepts, including deep learning, transformer models, optimization algorithms, and regularization techniques is also necessary.
The Senior Machine Learning Scientist will develop innovative natural language processing models and LLM agents for precision medicine, researching, developing, training, testing, deploying, monitoring, and improving machine learning models for information extraction, relation extraction, information retrieval, question answering, text classification, summarization, and clinical prediction. They will work with unstructured clinical notes, EHR data, imaging data, and molecular data, continuously exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance technical capabilities. The role involves contributing to thought leadership, designing experiments, collaborating with business and clinical teams, integrating models into healthcare platforms, ensuring scalability and robustness, and staying up to date with healthcare regulations and ethical considerations. Furthermore, they will actively engage in healthcare and AI research communities, establishing research opportunities and collaboration with partner organizations.
