Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering. Strong programming skills in Python are essential, along with experience in developing and deploying machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is also required, as is a solid understanding of recommendation systems and personalization techniques.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the research, development, deployment, and optimization of recommendation and personalization algorithms across Disney’s platforms including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, and ESPN. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to build intelligent systems serving hundreds of millions of users worldwide. This includes designing and implementing machine learning models, taking ownership of key projects, contributing to technical design and experimentation, and translating product needs into scalable ML solutions. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in aligning technical solutions with stakeholder requirements and expectations, and shaping the roadmap for algorithmic innovation within the personalization and recommendation space.
