Candidates should have 5+ years of programming experience in Java, preferably with experience in investment banking, hedge funds, or exchanges developing trading applications in Equity, FX, or Derivative products. Experience with TDD methodology and automated testing is required, along with a strong desire for improvement, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced industry. Derivative product experience is a plus.
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the full-stack design, development, and implementation of products and solutions for the derivatives exchange platform, working with micro-service based components. They will collaborate with the product management team to optimize existing models and develop new ones, participate in code audits, testing, and releases, and build a rapidly deployable system with automated testing, CI/CD. Responsibilities also include identifying and solving back-end infrastructure and platform problems, analyzing cross-stack issues, working with the security team on high-security infrastructure and services, managing code and function implementation documents, and collaborating with the DevOps team to upgrade the technology stack.
