Requirements

Proven experience in iOS development, with a focus on building and shipping high-quality consumer applications
Demonstrated ability to understand product goals and translate them into technical solutions that resonate with users
Advanced proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and familiarity with MVVM or other architectural patterns in iOS
Hands-on expertise integrating backend services (preferably using Kotlin-based BFFs), and familiarity with modern observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, or Sentry
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Fastlane)
Ability to deliver high-quality mobile solutions in a collaborative, agile environment
Fast learner with willingness to help the team where needed
Passionate about providing outstanding service for clients and translating business requirements into world-class software products

Responsibilities

Help create reliable applications for the iOS platform that make investing simple and straightforward for customers
Be involved in the whole life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application
Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports
Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation
Provide senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases
Integrate third party products and participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues
Participate in systems analysis activities
Understand client business functions and technology needs
Understand Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems
Learn and align with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vanguard Personal Investor app, with primary focus on development of iOS applications and their integration with third party back-end services
Work alongside a team of engineers on different layers of the infrastructure, committing to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creation of quality products
